The county Board of Supervisors and the City of La Mirada have agreed to share the cost of repairing and resurfacing La Mirada Boulevard between Rosecrans Avenue and Alondra Boulevard. The $251,824 project will begin early this month and take about two months to complete, according to La Mirada officials.
Besides repaving La Mirada Boulevard, the median will be landscaped and several traffic signals will be replaced by newer models. La Mirada's share of the project is about $60,000.
At various times during construction, two of the four lanes on La Mirada Boulevard may be closed. Access to several streets that intersect La Mirada Boulevard--including Excelsior Drive and Ocaso Avenue--also may be closed briefly in the daytime.
