City Eastern Teams Dominate Times' Top 10

SAN DIEGO — Pity poor Point Loma High School. The Pointers (6-6) are the only team in the City Eastern League not ranked in this week's Times' Top 10. The other five--Morse (8-3), Serra (10-1), Mira Mesa (7-3), Patrick Henry (6-3) and Madison (7-3)--make up half of this week's list.

Even though the Top 10 is dominated by the City Eastern League, the county's top team is from the Palomar League. Poway, which didn't play last week is 9-3 and ranked ahead of No. 2 El Camino which is 11-2.

After that, the City Eastern dominates the list, with the Nos. 3, 4, 5, 9 and 10 teams. Kearny, from the City Western League, is a newcomer to the list, ranked No. 8.
