The wife of Jackie Jackson, the eldest of the singing Jacksons, filed for divorce Wednesday and won a court order barring her husband from the couple's Encino home because he allegedly beat her on several occasions.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner John Dickey issued a restraining order on behalf of Enid Jackson, 31, after a 10-minute conference in his chambers.
Dickey ordered Jackie Jackson, 34, to stay at least 100 yards from the couple's Louise Avenue house and to not contact his wife until a court hearing Jan. 29 on her request for support, according to her attorney, Donald Woldman.
In a petition seeking dissolution of the couple's 11-year marriage, Enid Jackson alleges that, on Nov. 25, her husband "struck me about my body with his fists, bruising me severely." The beating occurred after Enid Jackson questioned her husband about the couple's investments, the petition says.
