Pope Invited to Cuba

LONDON — Cuban President Fidel Castro has invited Pope John Paul II to visit Cuba as part of an attempt to improve Castro's image at home and abroad, the Sunday Times of London reported. The Pope is already committed to visiting Colombia, Chile and Argentina, probably in 1987. Vatican sources have indicated that a technical stopover in Havana is already under consideration.
