Donna Ashlock, 14, who received the heart of a teen-age friend after his unexpected death, walked to a beauty salon at San Francisco's Pacific Presbyterian Medical Center and received a curly perm. A hospital spokeswoman said Donna also visited the cardiopulmonary unit where she delivered a card to another transplant patient, telling him: "Welcome to the club." Donna underwent the transplant on Jan. 5. Felipe Garza Jr., 15, died suddenly the day before in their hometown of Patterson and the youth's family notified doctors at a Modesto hospital that he had said he wanted to give the ailing girl his heart.
