The Master's Coach Mark Gruss began the game with a sagging zone defense but Azusa Pacific was able to shoot over it. In the second half Azusa started to pull away and The Master's switched to man to man. Azusa continued to hit from inside and out to win the half, 49-29.

The Master's lone bright spot was a 20 of 27 performance from the free throw line. Michelle Carter made six of seven free throws.
