February 11, 1986|From Times Wire Services

Two Honolulu men who ditched their twin-engine plane in the Pacific after it ran out of fuel were rescued by a Los Angeles-bound freighter Monday after they spent more than 13 hours bobbing in a life raft, the Coast Guard reported.

Alden Badenhop, 31, and Jim Yoeger, 26, were reported in good condition aboard the container ship Evergood, scheduled to dock at Terminal Island tonight after a voyage from Tokyo.
