What's Closed on Presidents' Day

February 14, 1986

All city, county, state and federal government offices and courts will be closed Monday for Presidents' Day.

San Diego County spokesman Bob Lerner said county parks and recreation facilities will remain open.

In the city, public libraries will be closed and metered parking will not be enforced, spokeswoman Jane Donley said.

The Miramar Landfill will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but trash collections scheduled for Monday will be made Tuesday and others throughout the week will be pushed back a day.

The Mission Beach Plunge, the city's indoor swimming pool, will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. and the city's San Vicente, Miramar, Otay and Sutherland lakes will be open for fishing from dawn to dusk, Donley said.

State parks and recreation facilities in San Diego County will also be open, spokeswoman Pat Campbell said.

Cabrillo National Monument will be open from 9 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
