West Los Angeles College students who recently completed its aviation maintenance technician program all scored above the national average in the Federal Aviation Administration's licensing examination, officials announced.

Students who pass the examination are eligible for jobs paying $27,000 to $39,000 a year, according to Martin Wolf, chairman of the college's Airport Center, 9700 S. Sepulveda Blvd., where the aviation maintenance programs are offered.

Registration is being accepted at the main campus, 4800 Freshman Drive, for classes starting March 17.
