The PGA Tour announced it will discipline outspoken player Mac O'Grady in an unspecified manner for his public criticism of Commissioner Deane Beman.

During the Hawaiian Open, O'Grady was quoted in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin as referring to Beman as "a thief with a capital T." He also criticized Beman in a nationally televised interview during the tournament.
