Tommy Hawkins Leaves KABC Radio

March 18, 1986|LARRY STEWART

After 15 years, sportscaster Tommy Hawkins and radio station KABC ended their association Monday.

George Green, KABC's general manager, said that Hawkins' departure was by mutual agreement. He said there were irreconcilable differences.

A station spokeswoman said that Hawkins will not be replaced. Lee Marshall's role on "Sportstalk" will be expanded to fill the void there and Dodger pregame host Eric Tracy will take over Hawkins' morning spot on the "Ken and Bob Co." show.

Hawkins was not available for comment Monday.
