Roswitha Steiner of Austria took the World Cup slalom title from Erika Hess of Switzerland in the last race of the season.

Steiner, 22, won her first World Cup title with a speedy second run on sun-drenched Mt. Tecumseh in Waterville Valley, N.H., for an overall time of 1 minute 34.17 seconds.
