When Scott Radinsky struck out 18 batters last week against Riverside Poly, his accomplishment did not go unnoticed.
A dozen major league scouts, all armed with note pads and speed guns, were waiting for the 6-2, 195-pound Simi Valley senior when he returned to the mound on Friday against Camarillo.
They weren't disappointed.
Radinsky survived two bases-loaded situations in the early innings and settled down to throw his third one-hitter of the season as Simi Valley defeated Camarillo, 3-1, in a Marmonte League game.
"Now that I have the 18 strikeouts in the books, I'm not looking for any Ks," Radinsky said. "I try and pitch a normal game. I can't let the scouts bother me."
