Variation on a Pizza Theme : Broil Up a Loaf With Cheese, Sauce and Bread

March 27, 1986

Pizza Beef Loaf is an easy version of the ever-popular pizza. A chunky sauce of ground beef, onion, green pepper, mushrooms, tomato sauce and Parmesan cheese is flavored with oregano and garlic and spread on French bread.

After topping with tomato slices and mozzarella, broil until the cheese melts. Cut into slices and serve with a favorite beverage. PIZZA BEEF LOAF

1 green pepper, chopped

1 onion, chopped

Spread bottom half of loaf with beef mixture. Cover with tomato slices. Cut mozzarella cheese into triangles and arrange on tomatoes. Spread top half of bread loaf with melted butter.
