Demjanjuk Extradition

April 02, 1986

Is a "naturalized citizen" who gained such status by use of perjured and false testimony and documentation still entitled to U.S. protection?

Is the fact that an entity did not exist at the time a capital crime was committed justification for the crime? Does the fact that a nation says that "Never Again" will 6 million of its religious adherents be slaughtered an indication that it cannot conduct fair trials? Is the purpose of the trial "vengeance" or is it justice?

I agree with the general concept of Holoboski's letter, that citizenship entitles one to certain privileges, but certainly not when that status itself is obtained through fraud.
