Wah! Wah! Wah!

I guess it was inevitable that the NAACP would moan and groan that "The Color Purple" received no awards. They can't accept the fact that maybe, just maybe, the film wasn't good enough to win. Eleven nominations wasn't enough. Talk about greedy.

Nobody complained when "A Soldier's Story" won only one award. And I certainly heard no racial accusations when "The Brother From Another Planet" and "The Gods Must Be Crazy" received no recognition at all.

The message is clear: It is "The Color Green" that sets priorities.
