Hard-cooked eggs make a good staple in the dieter's refrigerator. Sprinkled with herbs, they're a satisfying snack with only 80 calories each.

Chopped hard-cooked eggs are the basis of countless egg salads that can be served hot or cold, for lunch or dinner. Use reduced-calorie mayonnaise or plain low-fat yogurt to moisten. Add chopped vegetables for crunch and bulk.
