David Horner and Jim Roth, who helped develop and launch the successful fragrance Giorgio, Beverly Hills, said Tuesday that they will end their seven-year relationship with Giorgio on Sept. 30.
Horner and Roth, both senior vice presidents for Giorgio, Beverly Hills, are the founders of IMG Associates of Encino, which has maintained an exclusive contract to manage the Giorgio, Beverly Hills, subsidiary of Giorgio Inc., a private company that operates a separate Rodeo Drive boutique.
Their decision not to renew their contract comes less than a week after Michael Gould, former chairman and chief executive of the J. W. Robinson department store chain, was named president and chief operating officer of Giorgio Inc. Fred J. Hayman, Giorgio's founder and co-owner, continues as chief executive and assumes the newly created post of chairman.
Both Horner, who headed sales and finance, and Roth, who oversaw marketing, advertising and operations, insisted that they had contemplated the change before Gould's appointment was made.
