April 23, 1986|From Reuters

TEL AVIV — Police in the southern Israeli town of Dimona prevented a march Tuesday by members of the Black Hebrews sect protesting the arrest and possible expulsion of 46 Black Hebrews detained last week.

Police sources said 800 officers surrounded the sect's headquarters. No arrests or injuries were reported.

The sources said that police, on alert against Arab terrorist attacks on the eve of the Passover festival which starts today, persuaded the protesters to put off the march.
