Reaction to U.S. Bombing Raid on Libya

April 25, 1986

Isn't it amazing how many demonstrations have occurred over the bombing of Libya! Where were all the demonstrators when the Iranians took American hostages; when Beirut was bombed; when Rome and West Berlin were bombed or when the Russians marched into Afghanistan?

Let's face it, America--you can't win--you will continually be blamed for all the world's problems. I am not an American but a Canadian, and I am ashamed for our so-called allies. America is the first to respond when help is needed but the last to get it. For shame.
