President Reagan blasted a House trade bill.

The Reagan Administration stepped up its offensive against the omnibus trade bill put forward by the House Democratic leadership, saying it would close international markets. Reagan said the bill would "mandate that the United States violate many of the most basic rules of international trade (and) expose our most productive farms and industry to retaliation by other nations." The House is expected to pass the bill this week.
