Martin Luther King III to Run for Local Office

ATLANTA — Martin Luther King III, oldest son of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Monday announced his candidacy for the Fulton County Commission. A victory for King, 28, a Democrat, could lead to the first black majority on the seven-member commission. He is the first in his father's immediate family to enter politics.
