Missouri State Workers Flee Office Gas Fumes

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Hundreds of state employees were evacuated Wednesday from the Truman State Office Building after those on one floor were overcome by gas fumes. A spokesman for the Missouri Highway Patrol said that about two dozen people were taken to hospitals. Officials could not immediately identify the type of gas that leaked into the offices.
