Guido Winterberg, the Swiss bicycle rider who was sidelined two months ago after a bad spill, won the 141-mile stage of the Tour of Switzerland.

But Andrew Hampton of the United States retained the yellow jersey and was favored to emerge as the overall winner when the 11-day race ends Friday.
