The ABC Unified School District Board of Education started its second round of interviews this week of candidates for superintendent of the district.
Interviews were conducted last Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The second round was scheduled for Wednesday and today, and perhaps on Saturday and Sunday if needed. Names and the number of the candidates are not being revealed by the seven-member board.
The district is seeking a replacement for Eugene Tucker, who had been superintendent for 10 years before accepting a similar post with the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District.
The board hopes that a superintendent will be named by early July, Public Information Officer Terry McAlpine said.
