Garuda Indonesia airlines is scheduling service between Los and Bali beginning Oct. 26, subject to Department of Transportation approval. Departures from LAX will be Fridays and Sundays at 8:10 p.m. Stops will be in Honolulu, Biak and Bali, both ways.

All Nippon Airways will begin five times per week service from Tokyo to Los Angeles on Wednesday. Japan's largest domestic carrier also will begin thrice-weekly service to Washington, D.C., on July 26.

People Express Airlines is offering 14-day advance purchase priced tickets throughout its system. Included in the advance purchase flights is a $149 one-way price between Newark and Brussels beginning Tuesday through Sept. 14.
