The city of Los Angeles will spend $255,000 in state and city money to improve Temescal Canyon Park between Pacific Coast Highway and Bowdoin Street. An irrigation system, nine drinking fountains and landscaping will be installed and two existing play areas will be refurbished. The project, scheduled to start next week, will take about six months to complete. The contractor is Madison Engineering. The city also plans to improve storm drains and repair a driveway at Crestwood Hills Park in Brentwood. The $54,000 job, awarded to the Taylor-Shaffer Co., will take about four months.
