While monitoring my VHF channel on my radio I realized that there is a terribly overlooked segment of personnel in virtually all communities who I believe should receive a thousand kudos for their vitally important contribution to the well-being of all us.
I'm speaking of the emergency dispatchers who receive no medals of valor (or opportunities to claim them) but without whom the emergency services just could not function.
They may receive a letter of commendation from their various seniors occasionally, but these are hard to eat even with tenderizer. So I would like to thank them, one and all, through your newspaper.
