A teen-ager suspected in a rape and 12 burglaries since June has been arrested by police who staked out an apartment complex inhabited primarily by USC students near the Shrine Auditorium. Los Angeles Police Sgt. Steve LaRoche said the 17-year-old suspect, whose name was withheld because of his age, was considered a "hot-prowl" burglar, because many of the crimes he was believed to have committed occurred at night, when his victims were asleep.
