Saratoga race stewards suspended Angel Cordero Jr. for 10 days for interfering with Personal Flag during the running of Saturday's Travers Stakes at Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Cordero said he will appeal the suspension to the State Gaming and Wagering Board, giving him time to complete the 24-day Saratoga meet.

With six days remaining in the meet, Cordero is leading the jockey standings with 22 victories. Jose Santos is second with 13.

Cordero was set down for allowing his mount, Broad Brush, to bump Personal Flag in the stretch. Broad Brush, which finished second to Wise Times, was disqualified and placed fourth. Personal Flag and Danzig Connection were moved up to third and second, respectively.
