Schwab Released From Hospital

August 19, 1986

Leon Schwab, whose now defunct Sunset Strip drugstore was famous as a gathering place for the stars, was released this morning from Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills following treatment for a fainting spell, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Earlier reports that Schwab, 74, had suffered a heart attack, were incorrect, she said. He had been admitted to the hospital in serious condition on Monday.
