Another alleged victim of the "Night Stalker" filed suit against the man accused of the serial killings. An action asking $25 million in punitive damages, medical expenses and lost earnings was filed in Orange County Superior Court for William R. Carns Jr., 30, of Mission Viejo, who was shot three times in the head and left for dead a year ago by a man who then raped his fiancee. Defendant in the suit is Richard Ramirez, the 26-year-old drifter from El Paso, who has been charged with 14 counts of murder and 31 other felonies in connection with the brutal "Night Stalker" killings.
