August 27, 1986

Chairman Charles S. Mechem Jr. said that the Cincinnati-based company has hired the New York investment firm Goldman, Sachs & Co. to evaluate the prospects but that no decision has been made regarding disposition of the stations. Taft Broadcasting, which owns 12 television stations nationwide, said the independent stations are WTAF, Philadelphia; WDCA, Washington; WCIX, Miami; KTXA, Dallas, and KTXH, Houston. Taft also owns radio and cable-television properties and produces and distributes television and motion picture programming.
