'Rome's Command Silences the Hierarchy'

Father Sweeney's resignation from the Jesuit Order was too theatrical for me.

God knows, even if his superiors don't, that Father Sweeney certainly has the right to his own opinion. I mean this is still a free country.

But having The Times there to photograph his resignation with his mother and brother in tow, was a bit much.

All that was missing from the picture were his five Emmy Awards lined up along his desk. I can't wait for the mini-series.
