As a psychologist, I read with great interest Barry Siegel's fascinating account of an injured mind in the act of healing itself ("Was This a Murderous Mind?" July 27). Bravo to psychologist-patient Harding for his determination to get beyond what could easily have been his destiny. On the basis of what Siegel has reported, I don't think he need be dubious about Harding's recovery. In my professional opinion, the prognosis is very good.
