Rookie quarterback Jack Trudeau of the Indianapolis Colts will start next Sunday against the Rams because of a season-ending injury to quarterback Gary Hogeboom.
Hogeboom will undergo surgery for a separated right shoulder and will likely miss the rest of the season. Hogeboom was injured when he was tackled by Lyle Blackwood in Sunday's 30-10 loss to Miami.
