Apple cut the price of some of its computers.

Apple told its dealers that it will reduce the suggested retail prices for its popular Macintosh personal computer family and LaserWriter printer product lines. The Macintosh Plus will carry a suggested retail price of $2,199, the Macintosh 512K Enhanced will be priced at $1,699 and the LaserWriter printer will be priced at $4,999. The Macintosh Plus had previously been priced at $2,599, the Macintosh 512K Enhanced at $1,999 and the LaserWriter printer at $5,999.
