Assemblyman Jim Costa, 34, was placed on three years probation and fined $255 after pleading no contest in Sacramento Municipal Court to a charge of soliciting a prostitute. The Fresno Democrat was arrested Aug. 29 in north Sacramento after police said they heard him and a 19-year-old prostitute offer a woman who was posing as a prostitute $50 to join them in a "threesome."
