Tennis star Martina Navratilova testified that a photographer who is suing her had embarrassed or harassed her on at least two occasions before she took his camera and exposed his film in 1982.

Navratilova took the stand in the second week of a trial of a $2-million suit filed by Arthur M. Seitz, 43, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and a $4.5-million countersuit filed by Navratilova.

Seitz claims injuries to his arm, stemming from a Sept. 7, 1982, dispute after Navratilova lost to Pam Shriver in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open, required surgery and caused him mental and psychological anguish.

Navratilova claims that mental and psychological anguish resulted when the photographer allegedly assaulted her by taking her picture.
