Royal West Airlines will begin scheduled passenger service to Vail, Colo., from Los Angeles on Dec. 13. Initially there will be one round-trip flight a week on Saturday. Fares are to be announced.

McLain Airlines is scheduled to begin service between Chicago and Los Angeles on Oct. 15. There will also be service between Chicago and Phoenix and Phoenix and Los Angeles.

Icelandair's fall, winter and spring round-trip fare between New York and Luxembourg is $298. Air fare includes free round-trip motor-coach service to cities in West Germany, Belgium and Holland from Luxembourg.
