DOHA, Qatar — Environmental experts of Persian Gulf Arab countries have launched a campaign to save marine mammals threatened with extinction, an environmental official said Friday.
Abdul-Rahman Ansari of the Qatar Environmental Protection Committee said the "Save the Mammals" campaign aims at protecting dolphins, dugongs (sea cows) and other species in the Persian Gulf.
