PRINCETON, N.C. — A man flying a miniature, one-seat helicopter he had assembled from a kit was killed after the aircraft began falling apart about 100 feet in the air while he was hovering over his home, police said Sunday. The victim, Walter Gerald Martin, 37, of Selma, was flying his "gyrocopter" Saturday when it crashed on U.S. 70, authorities said.
