Abrush fire early Tuesday threatened about 100 homes and burned 100 acres of brush near Chatsworth before firefighters contained it at 7:21 a.m., fire officials said. Two shed-like structures were destroyed and one firefighter received a minor injury, said patrick Kiallian, a Los Angeles city fire dispatcher.

The fire started about 4 a.m. near the 8600 block of Valley Circle Boulevard and was fanned by 15- to 20-mile-an-hour winds, Killian said.

More than 100 firefighters extinguished the fire, which was under investigation, he said.
