Former Chicago Cubs' Manager Jim Frey is expected to decide by the end of the week whether to take a front office job with the Minnesota Twins or be a broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs.

Frey reportedly has been offered the job of chief scout and talent evaluator for the Twins. Frey also has been a top candidate to serve as a color commentator for WGN radio, the flagship station for Cubs' broadcasts.

Frey, 55, fired last June, and former Cub player Jay Johnstone are the finalists for the radio job.
