Another Con Job Is Foisted on the Public

November 15, 1986

Mike Downey's pro-Leonard propaganda of Nov. 5 must have been written under the influence of something. Downey, like Leonard, is living in a dreamland. How can Downey seriously believe that Leonard will decisively defeat Hagler? Has he forgotten that Hagler also possesses boxing skills? That Hagler has been actively defending his title?

Downey is clearly overwhelmed by his emotions toward Leonard. Hagler possesses those tools needed to easily defeat a rusty, has-been dreamer like Sugar Ray Leonard.
