London's Royal Garden Hotel, next to Kensington Palace, celebrated its 20th anniversary with the dedication of a time capsule on Nov. 12. Officiating was Patrick Lichfield, the fifth Earl of Lichfield, and the hotel's managing director, James Brown. The event coincided with ribbon-cutting ceremonies dedicating renovations at the hotel.

"Indonesia, Green Island in a Blue Sea" is the topic of a lecture to be given by Charles W. Noah on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Burton Chace Park community building, west end of Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey. The free event is sponsored by the Venice Community Adult School. Air Canada has begun offering executive class service on its flights from Los Angeles and San Francisco to Toronto and Montreal. For 6% above the normal economy fare, travelers will get special seats equipped with footrest and a larger dining/work table, complimentary bar service and upgraded meal service.
