SAN DIEGO COUNTY DIGEST

East County

November 24, 1986

From 4,000 to 5,000 San Diego Gas & Electric Co. customers were without power for several hours Sunday as gusts of wind blew trees into power lines. The high winds, the result of the Santa Ana weather pattern, caused sporadic power outages throughout the East County, primarily in El Cajon, Lakeside and Ramona, said SDG&E spokesman David Kusumoto.

"We did have some scattered, isolated, customer-by-customer outages, but nothing of a system-wide or circuit-wide nature," Kusumoto said. Power was restored to almost all of the affected customers within a few hours, Kusumoto said.
