L.a. County Voter Regulation Changes : Old Way

"The voter then gives the ballot to the election officer, who shall then remove the voter's receipt, hand it to the voter and deposit the voted ballot in the ballot box."

"You must give the ballot to the election officer who will remove your receipt, give it to you and deposit the ballot in the ballot box."

"If the voter spoils his ballot, he may receive an additional ballot by returning the spoiled ballot . . . "

"A voter shall not receive more than a total of three ballots, including his original ballot, in this manner."

"During the election no person may remove or destroy any of the voting supplies, or remove or deface any of the cards, signs, or indexes posted at the polls."

"No person may: Place any mark upon his ballot for identification."

NEW WAY

"You may only receive three ballots, including the original ballot, for this purpose."

"During the election, no person may damage or remove any of the voting materials, including the signs, indexes or the cards posted at the polling place."

"No person may: Mark a ballot for identification."

"No person may: Remove any ballot from the polling place before the canvass is finished."
