Reagan and the Unfolding Iran-Contra Deals

November 30, 1986

Once again thousands of words are being written about incompetent advisers to account for President Reagan's "mistakes," when the simple truth is that at times we have an incompetent President.

In the nuclear age this is terrifying. Yet the inherent strength of the American form of government, with its checks and balances, has always allowed us to survive.

If U.S. citizens stay aware of world events, exercise their voting power, and use their complete freedom to communicate with elected officials--America and the world will survive in spite of bumbling leaders.
