Schickler/Meringoff Properties has purchased a six-story office building and garage at 8455 Beverly Blvd. for about $3.4 million.
The recently formed partnership plans to renovate the 35,000-square-foot building and rent it out. It is the first acquisition the firm has made, although an affiliate company, Manhattan-based Meringoff Properties, has specialized in buying and rehabilitating older buildings since 1977.
The renovation, which will cost about $100,000, will include repair work on the floors, ceilings, elevators, lobby and exterior facade.
Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate represented both Schickler/Meringoff and the seller, Beverly Associates.
